Folks,

Unfortunately the team I had put together has had to cancel for various reasons. And, rather than do a Single op single band (I’m not up to an SO2R or 2BSIQ effort) and missing out on the companionship of the team, I decided to cancel my trip altogether. So, that opens up the Gingerbread hill location this year. www.gingerbreadhill.com <http://www.gingerbreadhill.com/>. Clover and David are excellent hosts and it is a wonderful place to stay, both for radio and non-radio stuff. However, be forwarned that Montserrat is not a ‘hopping’ tourist location so don’t expect Aruba or that kind of activity. You can take a tour of the city of Plymouth (conditions permitting…it is in the exclusion zone…the volcano is still considered active and it requires permission from the local authorities, and a guide…Clover’s Son can be the Guide and he does a wonderful tour).

You can fly in on a 6 passenger puddle jumper or take the ferry. But, if you are looking for a nice quiet get away with nice ‘black sand’ (volcanic) beaches and a very comfortable climate, this is the place to go. You can ping Clover directly at info@gingerbreadhill.com.

I hope someone can take advantage of the station. It’s a great place to operate from.

Marty, W1MD
