A few of you have emailed privately and I got my answer.

It's a big "no" ;-(

I guess I'll eventually looking into taking a US license test so I'll have
to see if that's doable remotely and/or where I might
have to go in Maine (?) to take it if remotely taking a test is "not a
thing".

May not be related to my situation, but I know of one individual who took a
test for the UK remotely (from somewhere in North America) and he passed, so
at least one country does do remote testing.

Thanks all !

If I am a single op (or maybe even part of a multi-op) and the owner/control
op is at their property, am I legally allowed to operate it, remotely over
the internet?

Let's say the station is in W9 and I am in NB, Canada. I have no US ham
license.

If this is allowed, and I'm single op can I use their home callsign? ie:
W9XXXX or would it have to be VE9AA/W9
(I presume if this is allowed and I am part of a multiop, we'd just use the
W9XXXX call.

Tnx
