I also did 15m single band, but gave up very early. (4.5hrs only)
When I had reasonably strong prop to EU Sat morning and weaker prop
Sunday morning, I don't recall hearing any buzzsaw.
If I did, and just don't remember I must have just considered it all
part of the game.
No use worrying about it. Are you certain it wasn't just local QRM Pat?

Not sure if this has been brought up before or if it's something one has
to
learn to live with while contesting. Anyway here goes. I participated
in
the ARRL Int DX SSB contest this weekend as Single Op 15 meters. Did
anyone
else operating 15 meters this weekend notice the "Russian Buzz Saw"?
Maybe
it's just me and a localized phenomenal but it sure proved to be a pain
in
the ass at times. The Buzz Saw would move up and down the band
seemingly
all day Saturday and Sunday.
Should I just write it up as part of the game and move on down the band?
Unfortunately it always seems to land on something I was trying to work
for
a new mult.

Pat - KZ5J</pre>
