Do we know whether the new VY1s are permanent/semi-permanent residents
in NT? It strikes me that an actively supportive attitude on our part
down here could foster a couple of enthusiastic contesters.
Alternatively, complaining about their S&Ping, coupled with the chaos of
the pileups we heard on the weekend, could turn them off SS and
contesting before they really get started.

Sometimes you cannot control the idiots who call incessantly, however you can choose to ignore them.VY1CQ was on sunday evening on 40. The pileup was a *mess.* 73 Rich NN3W It would be nice if the guys who operate from VE8 or VY1 would just go around and call stations. Since VY1AAA and VY1JA are gone we are left with stations that aren't really seasoned contesters. They seem to get flustered pretty easily. They would probably have a much better rate doing S&P.Jeff KU8EMike, Coreen & Corey Keswick Ridge, NB_______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/cq-contest _______________________________________________ CQ-Contest mailing list CQ-Contest@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/cq-contest |
