Carol,

The answers to your questions depend on what software you are using.

The scrolling cannot be slowed down permanently without losing data, but
some software may allow you to pause scrolling temporarily so you can read
or click on a particular line before allowing scrolling to continue.

In N1MM+, the Telnet window can be minimized (not closed) so it is not
taking up screen space, and it will still continue to feed spots to the
Bandmap, Available Mults & Qs and Spectrum Display windows. I can't speak
for other software.
