This is very shocking and sad news. Like many on this list, I've worked
Paul dozens if not hundreds of times, including this past weekend. He
was a very skilled op who cruised along at 38-40 WPM but always took a
few extra seconds to say hello. He will certainly be missed.
My sympathies to his wife and family.

Milledgeville. Dave had just been called by Paul Newberry's XYL,
Martha, to tell him that Paul died this morning of a heart attack. No
information on funeral plans or memorial contributions yet. Martha
wanted the word spread, so I am sending it out to the contest and DX
reflectors. More later, when I know more. Assume services will be in
Macon, GA later this week. Paul was active in ARRL SS CW this past
weekend.
