The Yasme Foundation is sponsoring a "Ham Radio 2.0 - Innovation and
Discovery" area and the HamSCI (hamsci.org) booth at the Hamvention. As
part of the festivities, we have a list of interesting presentations - most
with significant contesting interest, including propagation, real-time
scoreboards, FT8 and WSJT modes, etc. They run all day on Friday and
Saturday, 9:15 AM to 4 PM..
The YOTA group from Europe (Florian, OE3FTA) and Africa (Koos, ZR6KF) will
be on hand with their own presentation to publicize YOTA (ham-yota.com) and
the upcoming YOTA 2018 conference in South Africa this August. Come meet
the next generation of contesters!
Drop by on your way to or from the flea market - this all takes place in
the Volta Building (Bldg 4) immediately inside the entry doors. FIRST
Robotics and the Hamvention Youth Tech area are also there.
Thanks to the Hamvention for helping make the necessary arrangements - good
job!
