Now that the dust has settled on the FQP, it's time to get ready for the
next big party, the 7QP. We have mobiles and county expeditions going
into the nether regions of the 7th call area. That means there will be
RARE counties and Very RARE GRIDS in plenty on the bands. We hope to
break our previous counties record this year (out of 259 that is).
2018 marks the debut of the DESIGNATED MOBILE WINDOW, 35-40kHz. FQP had
a very successful 30-40kHz window. Fixed ops should refrain from running
stations in this window. If we run out of room, we'll ask for more next
year.
7QP is 13z May 5 to 07z May 6. The New England, Indiana and Delaware QPs
are also this weekend. If you are not in New England, Indiana, Delaware,
or the 7th area, use the IN7QPNE QSO party in N1MM+. Those inside those
four should select their own party. N1MM logger will let you copy the
complete exchange from everyone. This lets you be in all four parties
from the same log. Please send your Cabrillo logs to 7qplogs@7QP.org,
logs@neqp.org, inqp@hdxcc.org, and qsoparty@gmail.com. They will drop
any non-counting QSOs and score it for you.
Go out there and have fun.
73,
Dick Frey, K4XU ...N7XU/m in 9 Oregon counties.
