Looking at the number and callsigns of the 2016 SSB DQ's for self spotting, it
seems a number of large operations don't actually care if they are DQ'd.
And this is the list of the ones that were caught.
Maybe this is because the results take so long to come out? Maybe 3830.com,
Contestonlinescore.com, CQcontest.net, and the local/regional contest club
reflectors are the immediate de facto results that matter?
I know when I stumble across some official results for some contest 8 months
after the fact I can never remember if I entered it or not. Maybe I look at
the scores in the official results, usually I don't, but I never look at the
list of DQ's unless the subject is brought up on some reflector.
I DO look at 3830.com 5-6 times a day for a few days after each contest, I
DO send my scores to the internet scoreboard for EVERY contest, and I DO
enjoy looking at the Arizona Outlaws contest summary postings on our club
reflector.
