GM All

ARRL DX is almost here, time to think of a game plan.
As my age gets higher and higher I find single
band options much
more to my taste and ability . I will once
again bring up an irksome
point.   In some major contest the efforts of
the low power operator
entering only Single Band are noted and even
rewarded.  In ARRL DX
100 watts or 1000 watts make no deference .  My
thoughts are
why not even a simple way to note the use of
low power.  ARRL will
distinguish High and Low power for ALL Band
efforts NOT for single
band entries . Having said that I know even the
low power guy sometimes
wins. I have been in this position a few
times.  Then again there were those
times I was second or third and wondered if the
person beating me was
at my power level or not.  Due to this reason
there were a couple years
I opted to not enter. This will be one of those
years.
Once again I ask ARRL give this some thought.

                                    Bob WA1FCN
