So turn off the computer and use a straight key......  Keyers and computers are assistance.  If anyone helped you put up your towers.  Too bad you are now always multiop.  Didn't build your own rig....asistance.   Didn't repair your own rig, assistance.

Where do you draw the line?  I guess that is up to the individual and contest organizers to decided what is and what is not assistance.

The real discussion here is what is considered 'Assisted'.

Here's my opinion:

    - If your using Super Check Partial, your Assisted
    - If your using Packet/Telnet, your Assisted
    - If your using a history database, your Assisted

If you really want to go single op non-assisted, turn off all of the help me figure out the other ops call and exchange data....

How many times and how often must it be said that all
relevant technology assists one way or another?

When single operators use generally available spotting
information (frequency and call) over public networks
from any source, whether people or RBN, they are Assisted.

Additionally, they are Assisted when they use a local
Skimmer to provide spots.

Otherwise, they are Unassisted.
