When did "small" become "better" ???
I look at my human anatomy...... I have big ole man sized hands and the
ends of my fingers require large buttons, hands need big knobs, old eyes
need large print on front panel. Maybe Don-sized hands will work better
with toy-sized radios. Pushing my rig's buttons does not send the radio
off the back of the table. My Heil Pro set is HUGE, footsw fits my size
12s....I change little phone plugs to 1/4 in. and DIN and "power poles" to
Cinch Jones. SWR meter is 3in. tall. P3 output is to a big monitor.
I enjoy lots of controls and 2 shelves above my radio desk, all filled with
full sized everything*. I am spoiled with a whole room for a shack, 6
separate coaxes for 6 separate antennas, an automatic 2K amplifier that
will take all at once, and not SO2R because I do not like making other hams
wait on me.
I cant think of anything 'ham' I have that was made smaller and better for
it.*

I remember when cars could sit 3 in front and had a huge trunk, too, and a
TR-3 easily under the dash. Yes,*K3 is a pain, so I go to FT-9000d and
IC-7800 and 75S-3b and smile.
