I received my UBN report for 2016 CQWW CW contest. Several QSOs were
flagged as band change violations. We were operating as Multi-Single with
one transmitter (no mult station). The QSO at 1145Z was flagged as a band
change violation. Below is the log as submitted to CQ. Can someone please
explain to me where the band change violation was? The rules state:
*1. Single Transmitter (MULTI-ONE): Only one transmitted signal on one band
permitted during any 10-minute period (run transmitter). Exception: One —
and only one — other transmitted signal (multiplier transmitter) may be
used during any 10-minute period, if — and only if — it is on a different
band from the run transmitter and the station worked is a new multiplier.
The run and multiplier transmitters are governed by independent 10-minute
rules. Ten-minute periods begin with the first QSO on a band. The log must
indicate which transmitter (run or multiplier) made each QSO. The
multiplier transmitter may not call CQ (solicit contacts).*
First QSO on 160M is at 1132Z. QSOs on 40M had existed for at least 10
minutes prior to last QSO at 1125Z. Band change back to 40M occurs at
1206Z, a total of 34 minutes on the one band change, according to CQWW
rules.
Email to CQWW had no response.
