Nice story. If I counted the number of contest QSO for every call I have
worked since the 1960s, John would probably be near or at the top of the
list. Most have changed their call at least once since then but, for many
decades, K4BAI has been a consistent presence. I've met him at Dayton a few
times. Great op and great guy.

K2VCO and I have been working each other since our high school days. I
had the great pleasure of contesting with John at PJ4A several years
ago, along with KU8E and N3ZZ. John is both a great operator and a
first class human being. I'm proud to know him.
