Chris and others
Ist pretty simple
Just take a look into statistic and you will see
that according activity and avg points EU #5 is most difficult category in EU
908 Ops generating all most same number of total points like 1450 Ops from EU #3
I would say that much more active Ops from EU #5 are serious contester as from
other EU groups!
And EU #5 have smallest nr of TL spots!
This was a issue as well b4 just after you send out the rules
Another issue which became very true
are 12 contest in 2 years
same points for LP and HP
and score reduction for MS
1st
in EU#5 we have about 6-8 very active contester, this means you need to be
active in every contest
not only 12 and not allow to others to generate points.
3 TL spots are just to less for this group....we use to have 5 of them b4
2nd
Multi Op category are dead for period of qualifications.....none of big
contest teams are anymore QRV
Only SO participation! Is this good? I don’t think so!
3rd
LP vs. HP
Somehow LP category became very popular....maybe to easy to gain 3-6 dB more
without producing monster signal on the bands!
I don’t know, but somehow some LP Ops did kick my ass in pileups during the
WAE.....strange somehow and I don’t use small antennas !!!!
4th
900 points for WAG
1000 points for WAE
VS
800 points for EUHFC
950 points for WPX
Nice to try to generate more activity in German contest but let us be
realistic....... maybe next time
However those failures could be avoided b4...i know now is to late for any
changes (or not) but maybe
next WRTC organizer will consider more contesters ideas as anything else!
and...... I don’t think that qualifications will find out who are the best Ops
for WRTC
Its much more of using better station as others ....or being big gun !

Hi Chris,
I am commenting some parts of rules, with hope that organizer will think about
it, even if don’t change anything.
-Yes, this is clear that we have to accept rules, if want to compete.
-Yes, it is clear that you are organizer and it gives you right to make your
own rules.
Somehow, I feel that we all are big contest family, and every well-intentioned
comment is welcome? I do not remember that any of my earlier comments were
senseless?
So, your very useful statistic and number of teams per area are not
correlating. I gave you solution what I would do, but it’s fine if nothing will
be changed. Maybe next organizer will take some benefit out of it.
Sorry if I disturb you, will pay a big beer when meet you next time J "Niksicko
pivo" rulez!
