Nah.
Jim would not use scoreboard as he would not use skimmers.
No need for that.
Jim is one of the guys who still can use the radio without computer.
Gosh - I reckon Jim could still use the paddle .. maybe even a bug.
I have been computerizing my station and I see my paddle skills deteoriate.
I never learned to use a bug.
For those taking a benefit from using the spots, it is a good manner to
contribute - to give back.
That is, those stations really should contribute spots.
To take another step in giving back, contributing to others within
networked contesting as a competitive event:
Giving a visibiliy to the score is a positive show of good manners and
supporting the current modern version of live networked contesting beyond
year 2010.
I see we need 'em all.
We need the guys with their tube radios that need tuning all along.
We need the solid state transceiver guys.
We need the computerized guys.
We need the guys who operate a full spec 1500W computerized station that
has no knobs and weighs only 17 lbs.
We need the networked contesters as well.
And what ever comes after that, I say we need them too.
