I agree with Pete.  Knock yourselves out with the open logs provided by CQ
(kudos to them, when well ARRL join).  Instead of complaining, create your
own contest out of the activity with different rule sets.  Encourage others
to play and if the playing is sufficient..you could have yourself a new
contest.  If it doesn't, at least you can feel good about winning your own
optimized contest.I guess.

 

The tools are there folks.if its important to you.do something.
