Thursday night. . . NCCC Sprint Ladder XVI - Wk 4 of 8.

With NA CW Sprint on the near horizon, Feb 3, consider joining the
Thursday night NCCC Sprint Ladder for a energetic warm-up. With rates of
around 100/hr achieved last week by several stations, the NAS CW will seem
like slow motion. We can always use a few more players. Last weeks' 20m
opening at he beginning was surprising, making the NSL a true 4-band
event. No worry if your CW speed is slower. . .you'll receive a courteous
response at your comfort speed by our regulars, who are inclined to slow
down when necessary.

If you're just starting this week, consider participating for five weeks to
qualify for the weighted random drawing for W0YK's excellent wine, awarded
approximately at a bottle per 15-20 qualifying participants.

NS Ladder: Friday, 0230-0300Z; Thur at: 1830 PST; 1930 MST; 2030 CST; 2130

<http://www.ncccsprint.com/next_ns.html>Important rules:
1) Strictly observe the time limits . . see
http://www.ncccsprint.com/rules.html paragraph "Time".
2) After 2nd Q of couplet, please leave a pause for the cq'ing station to
ask for fills.
3) QSY Rule. . After a CQ, we encourage stations to QSY more than the 1KHz
minimum required by the rules so as to avoid bunching around the center
frequencies. thus a "1,2" QSY guideline, as opposed to the "1,5" rule
in the NAS.
4) Five weeks of significant participation makes you eligible for W0YK
wine drawing (KE3X, Awards Manager)
