Bob -
It could just be your interface is not displaying above 1850. For example, in
N1MM Logger, you can fix this by:
> Config > Change Band Plan > CW Sub Bands > then change 'High' from 1850 to
> 1895.
The defaults for 'CW Sub Bands' appear to be set below the RTTY sections, to
avoid overlap. But on 160, CW extends higher up.

The K3LR 160 meter Skimmer that feeds the RBN is 96 KHz wide.
Skimming from 1800 to 1896 KHz.

It appears the skimmers are only listening to the bottom 50 kHz segment
of the 160m band. I found N?HJZ on 1854, the old fashioned way...
turning the knob on my transceiver.
So if you're going to be CQing / RUNning... and want the benefit of
being 'auto spotted'... you will want to stick in the lower 50 kHz of
the band. At least that's what I am seeing here using the AE5E node 90
minutes into the contest.
