Yes but you will generally need more than 1 turn at HF, particularly on
the lower frequency bands. The K9YC tutorial is a must-read, and the
RFI@contesting.com reflector is the go-to place for help.

In the recent SS-CW, I noticed that I was getting RF into my PTT line
that I use for keying. ( the rig locked up on some bands when I was
QRO) I suppose that I need to get the cable wrapped around some
cores. What do I need and where can I get them?
A few years ago I ordered a number of the snap-over type ferrites from
Mouser. The ones I bought will snap over an RG-58 sized cable and are
"mix 31" which is good for HF as I understand it.
Mouser # 623-0431164281
Fair-Rite # 0431164281
They are available in several package sizes and the above numbers should
get you to the correct page at Mouser's site so you can find what you're
looking for.
DX Engineering also carries them, but I found Mouser had a better price
in quantity.
