C'mon guys.
The rules indicate that electronic assistance is not desired for Single Op
stations in the IARU.
If the wording of the rules isn't (in your humble opinion) precise enough to
allow for current levels of technology, then may I politely suggest that you
come up with a clearer alternative that would be acceptable to the contest
organizers (IARU & ARRL in this case) & the contest community in general.
I agree with Pete to the extent that it seems odd that the IARU contest ignores
the SO/Assisted or SO/Unlimited (or however you want to call it) category. If
the time is overdue to add it, then a polite word to the organizers to indicate
that you're in favor of said category being added is also overdue.
The poor equine was deceased long ago. Must we continue to wail on the carcass?
