Yuri, I have to agree with Sean. Club callsigns do not give you privileges
of the trustee by default. The trustee needs to be in the "control operator"
mode in order for his/her privileges to dominate. Or a designee control
operator could take that role (as is often the case in a Multi-Op). In
order for the control operator to be there legally, he has to be enough in
control of the station to be legal. I can see no way for a control operator
to be sufficiently present but claim single op. If you had stayed in the
General Band, the need for the control op would not exist and you, in fact,
would have been the designated control op of the club station.
Mistakes are made and we learn from them. Accept and move on is my advice.
No intentional breaking of rules.just an honest mistake, the way I see it.
