Now the equipment is not working anymore and I need to define what is going the
one I will buy. Hi?
I also used those small AM receivers and, yes they can do the job

best results achieved here a few years ago were with a small cheap AM long
wave radio , tune it to an unused frecuency and point the ferrite antenna
axis to the suspected sources and you should get stronger noise "signals "
as you aproach these sources
that technique proved to be really usefull finding several noise makers
around my station
