While we're making Post-Its of stuff to remember in SSB after this weekend's
contest:
1) Loud is good, wide is bad. Huge chunks of spectrum wasted on crazy
modulation. Which leads to:
2) Turn off the rig's 'elbow room' function. Some 10kHz wide chap even told
me it was to preserve a clear QRG because 'stations were creeping up his
frequency' (sic).
3) There was a weird kind of multi-op single band going on with a station
being active on a single band with multiple transmitters (up to a dozen
sometimes) using the callsign 'QRZ'...
