At least now lz9a KNOWS that someone may be out to get them and has the ip
address info to take action on their end. However, in my experience someone
trying to make trouble via the spotting network usually makes it more
obvious by using really junky callsigns, adding crass comments, spotting on
the wrong frequency to distract spot grabbers away from the actual
frequency, spotting rare dx on your frequency, spotting a bunch of times
within minutes, etc. this spotter spread out the spots over most of the
contest, seemed to be on the right frequencies, and seemed to be cheering
him on with comments like:

Comment
ww
cqww loud sign bravo
cq-ww-cw
cq test
z=20
Zone 20
z20
cqww
cqww loud
WW

So, in my 'expert' opinion, its at least a local friend trying to help out.
So if nothing else I would recommend to lz9a to let his friends know that
spotting with fake callsigns makes him look suspicious. And maybe next time
they will just show up in the cheerleader category instead of in the single
spotter/fake self spotter suspect list.
