Hi folks-
As was stated in the August 20th edition of the Contester's Update
newsletter, there was a small error in the way the Log-Checking Reports
were generated for DX stations. The problem was an out-of-date FCC
database used during the adjudication process to determine whether a US
callsign had been legitimately issued. As a result, a few US callsigns
were originally scored as being invalid, when in fact they were.
We have corrected this problem and regenerated the Log-Checking Reports.
This is part of an expanded online writeup of the DX SSB contest, which
can be found at http://www.arrl.org/contests/results. The expanded
writeup includes several stories on regional competition. Many thanks to
the regional authors for giving us expanded coverage available on the
Web.
We apologize for the error.
