Depends on the software.

If you are using N1mm Logger, you just plug the mike into the sound card, 
plug the output of the sound card into the DXD (through a simple 
transformer/resistor/capacitor interface).  The interface cost me about 
$0.75 to build.

This routes it to either radio.  You can either use the mike or the F-keys.

You can also chage the macros on the fly if need by.  73e
