The headband led lights are great, and I have one of them too.

I have another type of flashlight that I bought about 5 years ago that has
several other features that make it attractive for travel, expedition use
and almost any purpose. I use it all the time. It has a magnet on it and I
hang it on the side of a file cabinet in the shack so I know where it is.

The most impressive feature is that it may not ever need batteries and will
run for a long, long time. It can be on and providing light for up to 2
years depending on the mode selected. The provided Lithium batteries also
make it light enough to float. 

The one I have is called the ELITEXRay eternaLight model 4X.

Oh yeah!  My sister bought me one last year as a Christmas present and 
I've used that thing at least once a week ever since for something I 
needed to see in the dark.  I haven't even replaced the batteries yet, 
either!
