When I did DXpeditions I took a CC A3, modified it by cutting any tubing
longer than 48 inches, and used spices with clamps. I fit the hole
thing into an 8 inch diameter by 48 inch handi-man cardboard tube with
3/4 inch plywood end pieces. It was placed inside a curling broom bag.
Made a heavy rope carrying handle with the help of duct tape. It wasn't
really light, but I was younger then and obviously it made it there and
back. In future I would look at a plastic golf club transport case with
wheels.
