I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet on this reflector, but last
week, the Russian sponsors of the 2010 WRTC issued the
final qualifying rules for that event.
In order to help US contesters who maybe never even thought
they had a chance to go to one of these events, I have tallied
the points for the first five contests according to the updated
rules and posted the results on the web. (I would like to do
more than just the US, but it's a lot of time. If someone wants
to keep points for other regions, email me and maybe we can
get that on the web as well.)
The tally so far includes: IARU 2006, WAE CW & SSB 2006
and the two NA Sprints run in February of 2007. I have not
yet had time to go through the raw results of the CQWW DX
contests from 2006 - those will be added in coming weeks.
Leaders so far in the four US regions are KD4D, W9RE,
N0AT and K7RL, but it's very close at the top for some.
You can find that at http://www.radio-sport.net/wrtc_ranks.htm
Also there for download is a spreadsheet with results for all US
amateurs who submitted a log in the above contests, plus the
rules as issued by the Russian 2010 WRTC sponsors. There
are other articles covering the rules and more.
