The main problem here is Myopic Vision on the part of too many who are failing
to see the Contesting "Big Picture" and the need for more stations to work and
more QSOs for all.

If just 100 currently QTH challenged Contesters who make an average of 300 QSOs
or less in a major contest get a remote station going this year double their
QSO average each to 600 QSOs, multiply this out times for the "work 'em on each
band" Contests and it's a win-win situation for all.

Then consider 200, 300 or more stuck-in-a-poor-QTH ops who may be capable of
making triple the number of QSOs they do now by operating remotely, and things
get even better for Contesting in general.

Legitimate single remote station activity is part of the future of Contesting.
Put SO2R REMOTE into the mix, and the potential QSOs for everyone's logs goes
up higher.

Who said a QRP Contesters can't stick two 5w K-2's up in a better (remote)
location and kick some SO2R mini-butt? 100w category SO2R REMOTE contesters
can also add to everyone's QSO tallies. Everyone has their own level of
participation capability and resources.

But to try and force existing Contesters to stay at home with a dipole in the
attic vs. bringing more QSOs to the Contesting table for everyone is, IMHO, a
form of selfishness.

We already have cheaters amongst us. That will never change. "Distributed
Contesting" will ultimately take place, and and at some point I believe require
a formal category for those wishing to do this legitimately.

Always keep in mind what's best for Contesting in general: More stations to
work, more QSOs for everyone and less pee-poor QSO rate hours. Remote
Contesting offers significant contribution to the cause. SO2R REMOTE
Contesting even more.
