i half disagree. i write all contacts down on a spiral notebook with
numbered pages and time started at the top of each page. after each
contact i copy the info down on my 1936 ARRL ripoff logbook (from QCWA) i
then copy over into TR after i get home (from Fiji, rarotonga, etc). if i
find a character that could be a U or maybe an N or maybe a K (good ole
carpal tunnel) i go back to my spiral notebook and review the character
in question and make a best guess to what it really is, and enter it into
TR

if i am running, of which i did a lot as ZK1DRA, i have no back up log,
so at home, i make the best estimation of the characters on the page and
enter them into TR

let those go to hell who want a fast log entry into the contest chairman

To the group: it would sure save me a lot of time to put in a zerox copy
of my original chicken scratchings, no worry about making a dupe sheet or
spiral notebook. and remember there ain't 6 ZK1s working the
contest............
