Well Rex, there are two sides to every story... sometimes three.
About 6-7 years ago, give or take, I made inquiries to the Powers That Be
about how we could assist the Pa QSO Party in adapting a Cabrillo format.
(That's the PTB of Cabrillo, not PQP, incidently). A few of us were willing
to set up the robot and so on and offer to take on that burden on behalf of
the Nittany ARC & the PQP -- or get everything ready and set up and then
hand it over to them to use, either way. We were clear, or thought we were
clear, that we weren't asking the PTB to do this, just to point us in the
right directions.
We were politely told "sorry, we're too busy working on Cabrillo on the big
contests, we can't be bothered to help you." And that was the end of the
effort.
The current PaQP administrators HAVE woken up and ARE working on the
situation. It won't happen overnight. It's very easy to say that it
should, but it won't. Unfortunately, if some of the requested direction had
taken place, we would have been there by now.
This is not a complaint, I'm sure that they were indeed busy with that and
other things. Merely unfortunate.

Its about time for the PA QP to wake up and join the rest of the world with
use of cabrillo or something that doesn't require the individual contestor
to jump thru hoops to submit a log. I worked it in about 1999 and they
only would accept paper logs and that was the end for me. NO I didn't
send a log.
