| I started working on the contest country files in early 1994. I have
merged this effort with two others, see:
        http://www.country-files.com/
I have lots of notes on the Canada/VE prefix structure since 1994,
but little information about special prefixes that may have been used
before 1994.
Base prefixes for Canada:
CF, CG, CH, CI, CJ, CK, CY, CZ, VA, VB, VC, VD, VE, VF, VG, VO, VX,
VY, XJ, XK, XL, XM, XN, XO
Numbers usually represent the Province (VE1 = NS, VE2 = QC, ..., VE7
= BC, VE8 = NWT).
Does anyone have a list of special prefixes from before 1994 that DO
NOT fall into these simplistic rules?
Here are a couple of counter-examples I found:
        VO4MP in May, 1989 - this was VO1MP
        VY9CC in Nov, 1989 - I think this was VE4-land
The prefixes that seem to cause the most problems begin with CZ, VO,
VY, XN and XO
Thanks for your help!
