John, I've had one for around 6 months. A dream to set up for both
contesting (WriteLog) and DXing (DX4WIN) I love having speed and AF level
controls to hand when needed and it sequences my amp nicely. Nary a glitch
with CW TX.
I have no connection with microHam, but can strongly recommend the product
and very fast, polite, effective support from Joe and Josef. Contact me
off-list if you'd like to know more.

Roland,
-N means that you were not in that log. It was also determined that it was
your mistake, indicated by the minus (-) sign preceding the N. As a result,
you received a penalty for that QSO.
The # in parentheses is the number of logs that claim a qso with that
callsign.

Subject: [CQ-Contest] Question on Log Checking
Just received my log report for the CQWW SSB 2005 Contest. I had several
contacts marked -N, but next to each was a very high number, for example:
3 -N F6KHM (2037)
19 -N YT7A (1301)
..... and so on.
Does the number in parenthesis note the number of logs reporting a contact
with the station? Is the -N because they did not turn in a log, so it could
not be checked?
In my case, I had 11 QSO's with the -N.
So I was wondering if I was thinking about it the right way.

Congratulations to all the ops on their fine scores
It looks like a number of the top scorers did not post on 3830. It also
appears like that is becoming more common rather than less. I am not
sure why.
I did not participate in this event so I have no axe to grind. I also
understand a delay in posting due to travel and other commitments.
However, it seems to me to be to be impolite to never post a score, as
it defeats the purpose of having 3830. Fortunately, the ARRL posts
claimed scores, but it is after the deadline, and not every contest does
that.
Just an observation.

Some information, please
Hi, is anyone using microKEYER? Have you had any problems with it? Is
anyone used it at Field Day or for contesting? I am thinking about
purchasing one.

I considered not posting to 3830 any more because some had speculated that
one time when I posted to 3830 and never got around to turning in a Cabrillo
log in the contest that I had been DQ'd. I was annoyed for awhile, but then
decided I don't really care what anyone but me thinks, so I continued to
post to 3830 anyway...

It looks like a number of the top scorers did not post on 3830. It also
appears like that is becoming more common rather than less. I am not sure
why.
I did not participate in this event so I have no axe to grind. I also
understand a delay in posting due to travel and other commitments.
However, it seems to me to be to be impolite to never post a score, as it
defeats the purpose of having 3830. Fortunately, the ARRL posts claimed
scores, but it is after the deadline, and not every contest does that.
Just an observation.
