Dear Korey,
With all due respect to activities of nets like that why not to consider the
following.
Such a net is considered to be a tool to help people in trouble. Travellers
can also suggest to count on help from the net in case of an eventual
trouble. But it is very wellknown that there are contests and during most of
weekends the net's frequency can be overloaded and surrounded by signals
much stronger than the one from a small ship. The reality is, the net
members will never convience contesters of the World to avoid this
frequency. Moreover, most of amateurs of the World are not even awared of
the fact, such a net simply exists. The frequency will never belong to the
net. This is also a reality.
Back to the beginning. The net is created to help people. In order to help
people as much obstacles and risks as possible should be eliminated. One of
them is the fact that the 20 m band is always full and it is overcrowded
during contests. Why on Earth the net people are stuck on the idea that
14.300 belong to them? Do they realize that by doing that they put people in
trouble into another trouble?
14.300 is a risky frequency in respect of possible help. Let me suggest a
good, clear and contest free frequency. Let's say, 18.160.
Just a suggestion.
