Gentlemen.  Please stop saying this.  Is is at the
very least 'inaccurate' and leads people to become a
mode bigot (packet (AX.25) = bad?).

Packet is AX.25.  It is a modulation mode and a
ditital communication protocol.  One may engage a
simplex (non-digipeated) QSO using AX.25 for contest
credit (provided the event is not mode specific enough
to exclude it).  Packet is not the issue.

Say what you mean: Packet Spotting Networks (PSN's if
you must abbreviate).  But be sure to include all
types of spotting networks (including FM repeaters
that are used for such things).
