Thanks for the public and direct responses. They fit
three general categories:
1. Cabrillo format says truncate everything beyond the
limit of the callsign field for any given event.
2. What are the chances that you'll encounter any
times when the first 10-13 bytes are the same, but
represent different stations? Don't worry, be happy.

3. Ignore the Cabrillo spec and send the entire
callsign, packed with an appropriate number of spaces.
It will be ok.
Of the three, I will work with the first one, and
modify it for what I perceive to be an even better
solution...one that I would request commentary
on...I'll do that in my next e-mail.
