Another way to multi-boot which you may want to consider is to install a
drive cage (or whatever they call them) so you can swap hard drives.
Changing drives with one of these takes about ten seconds or less and
provides total security for each hard drive. They are available on eBay for
about $10 or so. This completely avoids any problems with boot software,
corrupting the MBR, etc.
The only problem I've had with these is the little cooling fan built into
them. They are pretty cheap and only last six months or so before getting
noisy. They can easily be replaced with a quality ball bearing fan for a
few bucks and you will have no more trouble.
