Hello all,

I just decided to take part in the CQ-M contest in the QRP-category,
but this excerpt from the rules puzzled me a bit:

,---- [ http://srr.ru/CONTEST/cq_m_4_eng.php ] ------------------.
B4 Single Operator - All bands QRP - Mixed
(PEP RF Output Power not more than 5 Watts. The participant
has to send "/QRP" after his callsign in the contest)
'----------------------------------------------------------------'

I have to send "/QRP"? Why? And why do LP stations not have to
send "/LP" then, single band stations "/SB"? - Because it makes no
sense!
Is that just a comfortable way to get rid of those weak QRP
signals by making the rules in a way that many OPs cannot legally
take part (because signing /QRP is not legal in many countries;
it is not a part of the callsign)?
Furthermore I cannot see why QRP stations should have the extra
disadvantage of sending 4 more characters.
Finally, the rule is almost impossible to check, because most OPs
do not log the "/QRP" addition (for a good reason).

I will work with QRP in CQ-M (only option at current QTH) and
sign DJ1YFK. If the organizers chose to upgrade me into the LP
category, that's fine with me; I won't score high anyway.
If they see that enforcing this rule makes no sense: even
better :-).
