To set the record straight. It was K5GA who had his toe nails painted... I was
always on the radio (instead of sleeping)!
But, yes, hearing K5LZO yell "LAHORE" as loud as possible after working an AP2
on 20m long path definitely wakes things up.
My multi-multi memory is going to K5RC for the first time and working 40m with
K5TM. I fell in love with the 75A4 receiver. It sounded great and made the band
seem full of space. Of course, learning about 40m morning long path (VU2GO used
to be 20 over every morning) was an eye opener as well. The big 40m beam at 140'
(we'll not mention the freeze cracks in the tower legs) was an experience too.
