I am preparing some jobs for CQWW CW contest. Just have a new IC-7800
transceiver, but I got some trouble in connect TL-922 with IC-7800.
First, I used the RELAY port from IC-7800 connect to TL-922's PTT port,
after switched the TL-922 to OPERATE mode, the TL-922 was always in
transmiting, the RELAY port in IC-7800 can't control the TL-922. I think the
RELAY port in IC-7800, just same as the "TX GND" port in Yaesu FT-900,
FT-1000MP, FT-1000D, these transceivers control my TL-922 is very well.
Then I try to use ACC1 port in IC-7800, I found the ACC1 port has a GND and
a SEND pin, I connect them to TL-922's PTT port. Now, the TL-922 in STBY
mode, TL-922 and IC-7800 running OK. And then, switched TL-922 to OPERATE
mode, nothing happened, and then, keying IC-7800, the IC-7800 will
shutdown(Power Off) automatically, it must disconnect IC-7800's power-core
and reconnect angain to restart the IC-7800.
I try to set the RELAY type to "LEAD" mode in IC-7800's menu, but still got
the same result.
I have no and idea now, will try a relay unit connect to RELAY port in
IC-7800 later. Any information is welcome!
