Although I don't use the spotting networks, they have knocked me out of some
QSOs along the way. Try working a weak station LP or QRP and have a sudden
pile-up on top of you.
If the spotting network would just put out the prefix of the station spotted
instead of the whole call a lot of the problems created by those who don't
listen before transmitting would disappear (at least I think one would want to
know the station's call before calling him). This would also eliminate most
"cheerleading" and self-spotting.
The casual and assisted ops could still find mults, they'd just have to work
a bit to get them.
OR is that the idea behind using the network; No work required?
