after talking with my personal cruise director/exec secretary/room mate
to get the story straight, it was a Carnival Cruise, not RC, and the play
area closed up at 3am.
Back when i was working on my Post Hole Digger certif, i did a lot of VLF
listening aboard cruise ships (all passive, .5 to 15 Khz) and their
radars got into my set up most everywhere on the top levels. i would not
think they would allow in transit operation, unless you had some pretty
heavy permission.
did 3 dx contests as a /C6A. lots of fond memories
