This Saturday, August 23, will be the fifth running of the Ohio QSO Party,
from noon to midnight (EDT), or 1600z to 0400z on Sunday, August 24.
This year is Ohio's 200th anniversary of statehood, so the OQP will be a
special one celebrating the Bicentennial. Look for lots of Ohio activity as we
celebrate Ohio's birthday - both from fixed stations and a full complement of
mobiles.
A brief rules overview:
Exchange qso number and Ohio county, or state, VE province, or "DX". 2 points
per CW QSO, 1 point per SSB QSO, multipliers are by mode (i.e. 88 counties x
2 = 176 possible mults for out of state stations).
Suggested frequencies are 3545, 7045, 14045, 21045, and 28045 on CW; 3850,
7225, 14250, 21300, and 28450 on SSB.
Categories are QRP, Low Power, and High Power for single ops; multi-multi,
and mobile. To encourage participation on both modes, we don't have separate
categories by mode, though we do list the results in a way you can compare
results by mode.
Full rules, planned operations, scores from past years, records, software
info, operating aids, and anything else we could think of that might be useful

We hope you'll join us for a good time this Saturday!
