Hi Tom;
Yup, activity was way lower than now and the number of hams, US and
Worldwide, only a fraction. In addition, many of the Eu and Asian stations
had power limitiations that made anything more than a casual effort very
prohibitive. Guys in the 50's and 60's will remember gobs of 40 watt UA's and
20 watt JA's because that was their license limit. I like it better now too,
more to do. Take care
