N2MG: Regardless of
whether these collisions in our shared spectrum are deliberate,
mistakes, or caused by stupidity does not seem to matter - they get
Contesting in trouble and we should be aware of this.

I wonder if some of these people who complain are the ones who, during a big
DXpedition, start transmitting in the DX station's listening window of 20 kHz
without checking if the frequency is in use. Do the guys who are in a QSO on
the frequency get all pissed too and condemn all DXers?
Don't get me wrong, what happened to the DX-ing station at the end of the
contest shouldn't have happened. It was wrong. But, as N2MG pointed out,
accidents do happen. However, many people form stereotypes from one or two
isolated incidents. How many contesters have a stereoypical 'pig-farmer'
operator concept about the guys on 75m ssb from one or two incidents of
harrassment from the good old boys on 75 ssb?
