The NCJ reported about an entry in the 1999 ARRL 160 I did from the cab of
my truck (technically not a car).
In 2000 I operated it out of a minivan.
(Now that the shack is built, I operate indoors like most people.)
The 1983 CQWW 2nd Place World XE2SI Multi-Multi took place 100% out of
vehicles. Some were cars.
There is a whole category for rovers in the VHF contests. Many of them are
cars. Few are larger than a camper.
Try it, it's really fun. Cramped, yes. You do have to get out and stretch
your legs.
