There's an interesting juxtaposition of threads on the reflector right now:
1. Hams should be self-policing, re: Sable Island
2. Contesters take offense when told to QSY out of agreed-upon DX windows
So does that mean that hams should be self-policing only when it's convenient?
The 80m DX window is a gentleman's agreement. There is no way to enforce
it except self-policing. I agree that it's a good thing to keep clear
during domestic contests.
