In case you all haven't seen it in the contest calendars, here's a new
contest for 2002 which should attract some interesting DX. Everyone is
welcome to take part....

RSGB Jubilee Contest
In celebration of the Queen?s Golden Jubilee in June 2002, this contest is
based around contacts with stations in the British Commonwealth. Stations
outside the Commonwealth may work Commonwealth stations only. Full rules are

When: 1000UTC 8 June to 1000UTC 9 June 2002.
3.5, 7, 14, 21 and 28MHz CW and SSB but no cross-mode contacts
Exchange: RS(T) and serial number starting from 001.
Categories: Single Operator, Single Operator Assisted and Multi Operator.
Only one transmitted signal in all categories. Entries may be CW only, SSB
only or mixed mode.
Sections: (a) British Commonwealth. Work any station except your own call
area.
(b) Rest of the World. Work any station in the British Commonwealth.
Stations within the Commonwealth may not contact their own call area for
points or multipliers. Stations outside the Commonwealth may contact
Commonwealth stations only. For this contest all of G, GM, GW, GI, GJ, GU,
GD counts as one call area. A station may be contacted only once per band,
regardless of mode. Each contact scores 5 points. The multiplier is the
total of different Commonwealth call areas worked on each band.
Deadline for logs: 6 July 2002. Paper logs to G3UFY, QTHR. Email logs to
hf.contests@rsgb.org.uk
Free logging software (SDJ) is available from www.ei5di.com. Some other
packages can be used, and details are on the www.rsgbhfcc.org web site.
All entrants working fifty or more band call areas will receive a
commemorative Jubilee certificate.
The top entry from each country receives a certificate, so long as a minimum
of 100 contacts have been made.
